The retreat begins in Tiruvannamalai, home to the sacred Arunachala Hill and the teachings of Ramana Maharshi. Participants will spend a week immersed in the peaceful atmosphere of Sri Ramanasramam, experiencing meditation, silence, spiritual reflection, temple visits, and the sacred Girivalam walk around Arunachala Hill. The quiet energy of the mountain and the simplicity of ashram life offer a rare opportunity for deep inner contemplation and self-inquiry.

The journey then continues to Rishikesh, nestled along the banks of the holy Ganges in the foothills of the Himalayas. Known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” Rishikesh provides a deeply uplifting setting for another week of spiritual immersion through yoga, meditation, sacred rituals, satsangs, peaceful riverside moments, and visits to revered ashrams and temples including Divine Life Society and Ram Jhula.

Throughout the retreat, guests will enjoy nourishing Sattvic vegetarian cuisine, meaningful spiritual experiences, moments of stillness, and the opportunity to connect with India’s rich spiritual heritage in an authentic and heartfelt way.

Daily Schedule

Our retreat is designed to balance spiritual practice, learning, reflection, and rest. Each day begins with meditation and Hatha Yoga, followed by visits to temples and ashrams, time at the sacred Arunachala Hill and Ganga, scripture study, and quiet contemplation.

Participants will enjoy nourishing Sattvic meals and are encouraged to attend all group activities to gain the fullest benefit from the retreat experience.

Schedules may vary based on location, local events, weather, and opportunities that arise during the journey. Flexibility and openness are part of the spirit of the retreat.

Diet

Throughout the retreat, participants will enjoy
two wholesome vegetarian meals each day.

No meat, fish or alcoholic beverages will be allowed during the retreat.

As this is a spiritual retreat, all participants are required to adhere to a vegetarian diet for the entire duration of the program. Maintaining a vegetarian lifestyle during the retreat is an integral part of the experience, supporting the principles of mindfulness, non-violence, and inner harmony that form the foundation of the journey.

Accommodations

Accommodation during the retreat will be provided at Third Eye Ramana Towers in Tiruvannamalai and Vasundhara Palace in Rishikesh. Both properties have been selected for their comfort, convenience, and proximity to the retreat activities.

To support the contemplative nature of the retreat and allow for personal space and quiet time, we will be providing only single-occupancy accommodation for all participants. This arrangement helps create an environment that is conducive to individual practice, reflection, and the overall retreat experience. However we will consider shared accommodation for married couples if requested.
